Musical Theatre Program

 

Our Musical Theatre at Kidz in the Biz is available for Students 5 yrs to 21 years. 

 

The  Kidz in the Biz Musical Theatre Program incorporates the Triple Threat components: 

•  SINGING

•  DANCE

• ACTING

 

Kidz in the Biz students are known for their "Triple Threat" training & talent. Nationwide our Musical Theatre program is admired, and  our teachers invited to develop similar programs for other dance schools.

 

Taught by the directors of Kidz in the Biz, Miss Mel and Miss Keira have coached students into major roles in Professional Musicals since 2001 incluiding Oliver, South Pacific (2005) Lion King, Miss Saigon, Wicked, South Pacific (2005,2012 & 2013), Magic Flute, Carmina Burana, Carmen, Billy Elliot, Hot Shoe Shuffle and Boy from Oz.

 

In 2013 Kidz in the BIz Musical theatre piece achieved the highest point score at Showcase National Dance Championships. In 2012 KITB 12/u Muscial Theatre piece was selected to perform as only 1 of 2 Musical Theatre Items in the Prestigous Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions (televised on channel 10) after placing in the Open age section of the competition. 

 

Our Musical Theatre programs develops young passionate performers who are well versed in all elements above.

 

From  2006 -2015  ALL OUR MUSICAL THEATRE PIECES PLACED 1ST.

 

This program works to develop student skills as a "Triple Threat" and cover work from different Musical Theatre Genres/Styles such as Lion King, Legally Blonde, Annie, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Les Miserables as well as Pop Musical content from Glee.

 

Musical Theatre Program Class Times for 2016:

Saturday 9-11am  Pre-Junior

Saturday 10am - 1pm

Saturday 1:30pm-4:30pm   ** Contact us for a suitable start date

Tuesday 5:00pm-8:30pm
